Denise Schmidt

Denise Schmidt is the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin’s water policy advisor. She advises the Commission on issues related to planning, evaluation and implementation of the Commission’s water regulatory programs. She has worked as a state regulator, regional and local planner, and private consultant on utility financial management, water resource planning, and land use planning issues in Wisconsin and other states. Schmidt serves on the Board of Trustees for AWWA’s Wisconsin Section, is vice chair of the Alliance for Water Efficiency’s Education and Outreach Committee, is a member of NARUC’s Staff Subcommittee on Water and serves as chair of her town’s Plan Commission.
